Removable ramps that still fit properly
Most “portable ramps” are folding aluminium boards built for vans and kerbs. They’re great in a car boot and poor in a doorway — they rattle, slide on tiles and leave a lip. A portable rubber ramp is made to your doorway’s exact height, then left there until you decide to move it.

How heavy is a portable rubber ramp?
Small threshold ramps can be carried by one person; larger ramps are heavier by design so they stay put. We’ll tell you the weight before we build.
Can I take the ramp with me when I move?
Yes. That’s one of the main reasons people choose rubber — it isn’t fixed to the house.
Will a portable ramp slide on tiles?
No. The weight and rubber underside keep it in place on tiles, timber and concrete.
What height can a portable rubber ramp handle?
They are ideal up to around 100mm. Beyond that we combine a landing and longer run, or suggest a permanent option.
Is a rubber ramp good for getting a wheelchair into a car?
No — for vehicles a folding aluminium ramp is lighter and better suited. Rubber is the better choice for doorways and steps.
Can portable ramps be funded?
Yes, often as assistive technology under NDIS or a Home Care Package.
