Recycled rubber ramps for disability and mobility access
Ramps R Us is an Australian rubber ramp manufacturer. Our ramps are made from 100% recycled tyre rubber and give wheelchairs, walkers and scooters a smooth, low-maintenance way over steps and thresholds at home or at work.
Every one is made to size, and they pair with rubber steps, platforms and infills to create a completely level entry.
- No drilling or glue
- AS1428.1 gradients
- Free home assessment

Features of our custom rubber ramps
A rubber ramp should disappear into your home. Ours are black, textured and heavy — they sit flush against the step, don’t move under a 150kg power chair, and look like part of the doorway rather than medical equipment.

Unmatched quality and durability
Our rubber ramps are custom-manufactured in our Melbourne workshop from bonded tyre crumb. Unlike timber they won’t rot or splinter; unlike aluminium they won’t ring, dent or burn hands on a 40°C day. They take daily wheelchair traffic, trolleys and cleaning chemicals for years.

Safety and stability
The rubber surface grips shoes and tyres even in the rain, cutting the risk of slips at the exact spots people fall — wet front doors and shower entries. Optional yellow safety edging marks the ramp edge for low-vision users.

Custom design options
Every home is different, so we build to your height, width and gradient, cut notches around door jambs and tracks, and add landings, infills or side edges where needed. Tell us the mobility aid and we’ll size the ramp around it.

Ease of installation
Traditional ramps are bolted or glued, which damages floors and needs a tradie. Our rubber ramps are simply placed and stay put thanks to their weight and profile. Rearranging, moving house or renting? Lift it and take it with you.

We got a ramp for a non-standard step here at RampsRUs. David was excellent with his communication and delivered the ramp from Melbourne to Sydney very efficiently. The quote was also reasonable. The ramp is exactly what we asked for. I highly recommend them!

Rubber Ramps FAQs
Still unsure? Call 0422 166 173 and talk to the people who build the ramps.
What are your rubber ramps made from?
100% recycled Australian car and truck tyre rubber, bonded into a solid slab. It keeps tyres out of landfill and gives a dense, grippy surface.
Will a rubber ramp move when a wheelchair rolls over it?
No. Our ramps are heavy for their size and sit flush against the step, so they stay put without fixings — even under power chairs.
How high can a rubber ramp go?
We make ramps for any height, but rubber is best suited to steps up to around 100–150mm. For larger rises we combine landings and longer runs, or recommend a timber ramp.
Do rubber ramps smell?
Freshly made ramps can have a mild rubber smell for a few days, especially indoors. It fades quickly with normal ventilation.
How do I clean a rubber ramp?
Sweep or hose it. Indoors, wipe with warm soapy water or a standard floor cleaner. There’s nothing to oil, paint or seal.
Can I use a rubber ramp for a mobility scooter?
Yes. Tell us the scooter model and weight and we’ll set the width and gradient to suit.
Do you sell rubber ramps Australia-wide?
Yes. Send dimensions via our measured quote form and we’ll build and freight your ramp anywhere in Australia.
